Hmm the nose is somehow... bulky? And the lips look somehow weird too. But it's not a bad picture,it onlycould be much better I hope you'll have time to finalize this sometime, the shading is good and I think you did a fantastic job with the eyes and hair.

I see I always praise the eyes you draw I wish I could draw them like that too. Maybe I'll use some of your work as reference!

*nod* yeppers...I especially didn't like the hard lines of the nose. The lips are actually the most troublesome of the piece to me. *makes face at them* In the actual reference, he had his mouth open slightly (enough to show teeth) but since I was dealing with a small sketchy, I had to draw them as lips, and they turned out TOO smooth for an old man, which I tried to fix and eventually gave up on. O_o ...*grumble* stupid lips...

If I redo this one, I'll start from scratch, I think, on a larger piece of paper. I'm glad you liked the hair--I have a considerable amount of trouble with hair of all kinds--mostly with shading. ^^

I don't htink you need to strart from scratch, there are no mistakes with proportions so very little erasing is needed. The nose should be easy to correct, and I think the lips would be much better if you added a little "roughness" or something like that. Go for it!
